Through dust

This is the abstract composition focusing on colours, their value, and the emotions they evoke.

The artwork's background is painted in a fade resembling buildings which decline over time, changing from saturated colours to grey due to dirt and pollution. I used this fading colour as the foundation of my composition, symbolizing our gradual disappearance in the polluted atmosphere.

The white line going through the whole composition is meant to resemble the gesture of wiping the dust.

And the vibrant yellow and green, are colours representing hope which contrasts against the grey background.

The juxtaposition of vibrant colours against the fading backdrop and the symbolic gesture of wiping away the dust is an attempt to capture the resilience of hope amidst environmental degradation and the human capacity for renewal.
